The short answer
The Pantasso Slack integration reads approved channels, threads, messages, and relevant user context that the connected Slack app is allowed to access. It preserves channel, thread, author, and timestamp details so answers can cite the original conversation. Workspace owners choose the scope; excluded or inaccessible conversations do not become Pantasso context.
Pantasso currently supports approved channels, their message history, thread replies, and user information needed to identify participants. That material can become searchable conversations, messages, people, decisions, and tasks while retaining Slack source references.

Pantasso does not bypass Slack permissions, read channels the connected app cannot see, or treat an agent profile as permission to add new channels. Excluded channels remain outside the workspace. Direct messages, private channels, historical depth, files, and other special cases must be explicitly supported, accessible, and approved before they are included.
The Slack app’s membership and provider permissions set the outer access boundary. The Pantasso workspace owner then chooses the approved channels and history bounds inside that boundary. Support evidence is redacted, and assistant profiles can narrow access further but cannot expand the connected source scope.
Founder-led setup begins with one Slack question and the smallest useful channel scope. Pantasso checks the stored connection, discovers visible choices, confirms bot membership and bounds, runs a first sync, and verifies a cited answer or useful gap before more channels are added.
Slack context supports cited company questions, source-aware operating briefs, assistant replies grounded in returned evidence, and organization of decisions or tasks. Every use remains tied to the approved workspace scope and available source records; write-enabled Slack workflows require separate scoping and approval.
Useful first questions include “What did we decide about the launch?”, “Which follow-ups from this project thread are still open?”, and “What changed this week?” Pantasso can cite the messages behind the answer or report that another channel, document, or time range is needed.
Slack syncs maintain checkpoint and source-health state so later runs can collect bounded changes without blindly reloading all history. The actual schedule and history window are configured for the workspace. Pantasso surfaces freshness evidence; it should not be treated as real-time when a sync is stale or unhealthy.
Current boundaries
Pantasso is sold with founder-led onboarding. We scope the first source, question, access boundary, and proof of value together instead of promising instant coverage.
Slack app access and approved channel scope determine what Pantasso can read; installation alone is not blanket workspace access.
Answers can only reflect messages and threads included in the configured history and successful syncs.
Files, direct messages, private channels, reactions, edits, deletions, and write actions are confirmed against the required workflow during evaluation.
